Twitter and TextDrive/Joyent

February 29th, 2008  |  Published in Uncategorized

It is good to know that Twitter has had no better luck with stability since making such a big deal about leaving TextDrive/Joyent hosting basically laying the blame at TD’s feet. In my mind of all the hosts I have dealt with either for personal work or client sites there is not better host in terms of openness and honesty then TextDrive/ Joyent.

If you want a good solid host with great service you should check out Joynet and TextDrive

An amazingly dense infographic of box office revenues for all…

An amazingly dense infographic of box office revenues for all movies since 1986. It’s a little confusing at first because the vertical scale is basically irrelevant, but once you get the hang of things, it’s fun to just scroll through the years. Interesting stuff to look out for:

This is definately cool, but I would really like to see receipts normalized for the crazy ticket prices that seem to abound. We have almost stopped going to movies as a family, seems better to wait and see it even on our crappy 1985 MGA tv….

The Street: “Mac Owners Are Snobs”

The video, which is based on research by Mindset Media says that Mac owners are more likely:
  • to be perfectionists
  • to use notebooks
  • to use teeth whitening products
  • to drive station wagons
  • to pay for downloaded music
  • to go to Starbucks
  • care about “green” products and the environment
  • to own a hybrid car
  • and last but not least … to buy 5 pairs of sneakers in a year

Good I needed an excuse to get some shoes, a hybrid car and a notebook…

But I will never be a perfectionish ;)
