The drama of a coffee maker

So this morning my coffee maker exploded. Really, it made a loud pop and there was water everywhere, there were small parts in the reservoir and a fine grit in the water on the floor. Now this was a ‘Free’ coffee maker, got it from Gavalia which I joined just long enough to get the coffee maker. Does any one have any recomendations for a guy who likes coffee, and most of the time makes just a couple of cups but sometimes when family is in town needs to make a bunch?

try a simple Mr. Coffee or whatever from Wal-Mart
really - they work OK

Well that answers my question about the Gavalia free coffeemaker. I just got that offer in the mail and wondered if it was worth pursuing. Obviously not!
