Like everything else in Rails, sessions are pretty easy to use. Unfortunately, the default session configuration isn’t particular well suited for a shared host.
Worth reading the rest if you deal with custom sessions in your web app (or other app for that matter) the CakePHP default handling ofsessions is also easy to use but by default uses cake’s own tmp directory. Do read the article and if you don’t like rails that’s ok.

I agree with Liz Lawley, this is a great Honda ad. Here’s why it’s great: it’s aspirational (translation, it makes you feel good) and it shows you their products being used.

Direct competitor to Aperture, available for download as a free public beta that expires in June (intriguingly, only for Mac — support for Windows is coming later). Don’t miss the video tour of Lightroom’s features and interface.
Worth looking at price is yet to be determined, I do find it interesting that it came out for mac first, not the way that Adobe usually does things…
