There it was on the menu at The Vortex – the Double Bypass Burger. This big hunk of meat is covered with bacon and cheese, surrounded by two fried eggs and then the whole mess is set not on a bun, but between two grilled cheese sandwiches. Oh, and it’s served with tater tots. How can you resist?

Hailed as the “world’s most flexible, open medium format digital camera platform,” the unit plays nice with a smorgasbord of high-end lenses (Mamiya’s 645 family, Hasselblad V-lenses and Pentacon Six lenses, for starters), and can achieve shutter speeds from 1/4000 second to 60 minutes.

ssh broken in current apple security update

There are reports of bus errors from the ssh command line client after updating to the latest security release from apple. I would wait to update until this is resolved

Arthur C Clark (1917-2008)
Arthur C Clark died today, and it is a sad day for Science Fiction lovers everywhere. To me there is no greater writer of the genre anywhere. He was a visionary who saw what would come long before anyone could even believe what was happening in the now.

Litmus Day Passes
Speaking of web browsers and compatibility, Litmus — a web app that lets you test web pages and email newsletters for compatibility against a slew of HTML rendering engines — now offers day passes.
This actually is great news, being able to do a quick spot check on a site right before launch will be very useful.
