Colin Fletcher, 85, a Trailblazer of Modern Backpacking, Dies. The original “Complete Walker” completely saturated my youthful backpacking adventures. His books meant – mean – so much to me. I know his day-to-day existence was very difficult since the car accident in 2001 … rest in peace, Mr Fletcher, and thank you for the guiding light.

Oh man that is a man who had a large influence on me as well. Tread lightly Mr. Flecher.
